Events in Frith Wood 2023
In 2022 we enjoyed:
- Volunteer working parties
- A celebration of the longest day of the year in June. We are not religious or political, but we enjoyed learning about Druid customs at the solstice.
- A ‘Moth Breakfast’ where we looked at moths found overnight near the wood.
- A celebration weekend in September with our first awards, the scattering of bluebell seeds and a visit from our forester Mike Hartnell.
A celebration of the shortest day of the year in December.
In 2023 we are looking forward to:
- The opening of our first nature sanctuary and improvements to the main entrance to the wood.
- Our first bird and bat boxes.
- More volunteer work!
- And possibly…
- A dawn chorus walk in May
- Stargazing
- Art events inspired by the wood…
